When there is pain in your neck, it could be due to sleeping in wrong way last night or sitting up or standing in the wrong posture which puts pressure on your neck. However, we find that these days, a significant contributor to a sore and aching neck is due to our over dependence on technology.
As our lives become increasingly technological, more and more of us are finding ourselves hunched over our devices for hours at a time. This posture can lead to a condition known as “text neck.” Text neck is caused by the strain placed on your neck and spine when your head is tilted forward for extended periods. This strain can lead to several problems, including headaches, neck pain, and even permanent damage to the spine.

All day long, your neck holds up your head which weighs approximately 11 lbs. It gets worse when you’re on your cellphone. Did you know that tilting your head while talking on your cellphone or texting on your smartphone can put enormous pressure on your neck? Just by tilting your head at 15 degrees put a pressure of 27 lbs on your neck. When you tilt your head 30 degrees, you add 40 lbs of pressure on your neck. At 45 degrees, you put 49 lbs of pressure on your neck, and at a 60 degree tilt you put a whopping 60 lbs of pressure on your neck. This type of neck pain has become so prevalent these days that it has a name – text neck. Imagine the amount of time per day you tilt your neck to speak on your cellphone or text on your smartphone. All that time, you are putting tremendous pressure on your neck muscles. That leads to neck pain. In addition, this type of text neck can also lead to tension headaches, migraines, and TMJ disorders. The usual medical treatments include drugs such as acetaminophen, aspirin, or ibuprofen to ease the pain. They may even give you cortisone shots. Unfortunately, these things only provide temporary relief and the pain may come back with a higher intensity of which you have to take higher doses or the drug or cortisone shots. In addition, these things have nasty side effects on your health. We offer effective natural healing treatments for neck pain. We utilize Hijama, herbs, microcurrent therapy and bioenergetic remedies to bring about lasting relief with no side effects.
Microcurrent Therapy for Neck Pain
In addition to Hijama and herbs, we utilize microcurrent therapy is part of our treatment for neck pain. Unlike traditional electrical stimulation, microcurrent therapy uses gentle yet powerful electrical currents that are not perceptible to you.
For neck pain, we do a microcurrent protocol called Little Wings. The electrode is placed at the bottom of your neck, where your neck meets the shoulders. You’ll find that your neck your shoulders will raise up by themselves. This movement is done 4-5 times on both sides of the neck. It provides good relief for neck pain.
One of the significant benefits of microcurrent therapy is that it can help to speed up the healing process by increasing blood flow and reducing inflammation. This is because our bodies have a natural electrical current that helps cells to communicate. When there is an injury or disease, the electrical currents are disrupted. Microcurrent therapy can restore the electromagnetic field within your body, which helps the cells to function correctly again. This, in turn, speeds up healing.
Another benefit of microcurrent therapy is that it is non-invasive and requires no recovery time. The electrodes (or attachment) are placed on the skin over the neck, and the treatment can be done in a few minutes. This makes it an ideal option if you’re looking for a fast and convenient way to treat your neck pain.
